Ingenium Mobile 2018
Event
Ingenium Mobile took place for the fourth time on 20 June. The exclusive event for virtual mobile operators brought together a large part of the sector, and included some of its leading figures as guest speakers. It was a unique experience, in which highly topical issues related to the MVNO sector were discussed.
The event featured Darío Talmesio, Principal Analyst & Practice Leader at Ovum, one of the most widely recognised and specialised consultants in the virtual mobile operators market worldwide, who talked about the situation in the sector and prevailing trends in the MVNOs market. Marco A. Lozano, coordinator of cybersecurity services at INCIBE, gave a presentation on the changes and the new security situation that is emerging due to the rise in the use of the IoT. The third guest speaker, Wojciech Uchman, vice-president of Virgin Mobile Poland, gave useful advice on how to manage an MVNO with more than 30 million subscribers worldwide.

Next, Alejandro Padín, the consultant responsible for the privacy and technology area at Garrigues, focused on the impact of the GDPR on OMVs, in terms of the regulation and the immediate future of data protection in digital communications. The day ended with a round table discussion on “New business opportunities for the MVNOs sector”, chaired by Miguel Ángel Uriondo, the Business editor of El Español, featuring Jesús Noguera, CEO of Simyo, and Francisco José Bueno, vice-president of AOTEC.
Jorge Blass provided a magic touch for the event. The illusionist, a Madrid native, entertained those attending the event with some impossible tricks interspersed between the presentations. The magic surprised and captivated all the attendees, adding a touch of illusion and dismantling some old myths about the legend of the first Marquises of Linares.
At the end of the day, a cocktail was served in the amphitheater of the Palacio de Linares. This part of the event was enlivened by two giant screens showing the second World Cup match of the Spanish National Team live, which delighted football enthusiasts.

2015
With the theme “The future of MVNOs, convergence and 4G”, JSC Ingenium organised the first edition of Ingenium Mobile.
Second Edition
2016
In 2016, coinciding with the twentieth anniversary of JSC, Ingenium Mobile was held for the second time, and established itself as the benchmark in Spain’s Telco sector.
Third Edition
2017
In 2017, to mark the new European regulations on roaming, JSC surprised everyone with an event full of surprises at the Reina Sofía Museum.

The fourth Ingenium Mobile took place place in the amphitheatre of the Palacio Linares – a unique, magical and historical setting, built at the end of the nineteenth century, which is perfectly preserved and located in Madrid’s iconic Plaza de Cibeles.
The sessions took place in the main amphitheatre and the networking cocktail event, which brought together all of Spain’s mobile operators – MNOs and MVNOs – took place on the terrace.
